UPDATE as of SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

I hope you are all had wonderful summer! We have some exciting new changes to the clinic specifically to our massage room. My room partner will be returning to the clinic space at Main Street Clinic on Wednesdays.

This will mean I will only be at the Main Street clinic on Tuesdays & Thursdays starting that week and moving forward. I will be offering massage therapy treatments at my Home Based Clinic in Grimsby on Wednesdays & Saturdays. It is important when booking your appointment to select the correct profile in order to select the correct days and location that you are seeking. You will see:

  1. Amanda Elmer, RMT on Tuesday & Thursday (Main Street Chiro Clinic)
  2. Amanda Elmer, RMT on Wednesday & Saturday (Home Based Clinic)

This means lots more massage therapy availability here in Grimsby, as I will be adding a day to my schedule and Madelyne Maingot, RMT will be seeing additional patients on Wednesday at the Main Street clinic.

As always, you can reach me at amandaelmerrmt@gmail.com with any inquiries or you can call or text 905-808-4799.

Yours in Health,

Amanda Elmer, RMT

Massage can reduce pain and anxiety for people with chronic illnesses, such as cancer, and reduce the physiological burden of stress. It can help treat conditions including stress-related tension, cancer-related fatigue, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, low back pain and depression, and can help improve recovery from acute injury and chronic pain.

Health and fitness have always been part of Amanda’s life and became a passion for her from a very young age. Her love and appreciation for massage and physical therapies started due to injuries from various sports and her ability to recover because of different manual therapies she received. Amanda’s passion is to offer those services to others to aid in the recovery from injuries and to help promote overall health and wellness. Amanda uses assessment skills and many manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cupping to help assess, treat, and prevent a variety of dysfunctions. Amanda’s goal is to not only help her clients by assessing and addressing physical pain and dysfunction, but to also inspire a fundamental shift in how we perceive our own health. Ultimately, teaching clients the importance of ongoing self-care and for long term health and well-being. Amanda always offers home care programs that include stretching or strengthening to aid in the recovery process between treatments. She loves to work with clients to achieve their optimum health goals and hopes to educate her clients to appreciate the importance of self-care. Amanda graduated from the Ontario College of Health & Technology and is registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. When Amanda is not working with clients, she loves to spend time with her family hiking or exploring the great outdoors, reading, cooking and power lifting.
